M－51パンツとは野戦用のフィールドオーバーパンツとして51年に開発されたUS Armyのパンツです
 
もともとは防寒用のパンツで下にもう一枚パンツを穿くことを考えられていた分シルエットが太いところが特徴。
 
素材も雰囲気のあるコットン素材で作られたハリのある非常にタフな生地が使われています。名作と謳われるだけあって作り込まれたディテールも秀逸。
 
フロント、バック、サイド、計6ポケットでポケットは全てフラップ付きでドットボタン止めになります。
 
サイドにはアジャスターがつけられサイズの調節も容易に行うことができるようになっています。
 
裾には絞り用の平紐ドローコードもあり絞ることも可能です。
 
膝にはタックが入り膝を曲げた際も突っ張らず動きやすいのも特徴です。このように細部まで考え抜かれて作られたミリタリーウェアにはそこにしか存在しない機能美と存在感がありファッションとして見た時にも最高にクールなアイテムです。
